One of the premier arts events in northwest Georgia, the ROME INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (RIFF) delivers excellent independent films to welcoming Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama audiences.

RIFF attracts over 5,000 attendees each year, and has been deemed by MovieMaker Magazine as "worth the cost of admission" and "one of the best film festivals in the southeastern United States."

RIFF has earned these distinctions by consistently programming a diverse lineup of international films, and by maintaining a warm, friendly atmosphere. Industry networking is also priority at RIFF, and Festival organizers make every effort to connect participating filmmakers with players in the Atlanta film industry.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
RIFF welcomes films and filmmakers from around the globe to share the art of independent film with regional audiences, entertain and enlighten festival attendees, provide filmmakers the opportunity for professional networking and development, and to encourage cultural tourism and film industry development in Rome and the surrounding area.

MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Held annually in downtown Rome, Georgia, RIFF is known for being a filmmaker-friendly festival with a big emphasis on that famous Southern hospitality. The Festival boasts nightly filmmaker parties, along with a gala closing awards ceremony.

Exhibiting filmmakers receive an all-access festival pass, and compete for the Sylvia jury awards specially cast bronze statues made by a local artist and RIFF Board member.
